Bluey Robinson

We’re giving this guy a post because he definitely deserves it. For those that don’t already know here is a quick brief on young talent.

At only 21 Bluey is already signed to Sony Music and its no wonder why. His career in entertainment began early back in 1999, and in 2002 he landed the role of ‘Simba’ in the West End musical The Lion King. Bluey was then featured on T4 as part of their Orange Rock Corp coverage in 2008.

It was in November 2008 that Bluey started to captivate an audience. He uploaded his first youtube video where you see him singing to everyday commuters in London, Paris and New York’s train stations. This is when we fell in Love. Attracting over 500,00 views heres one of his first videos:

During the summer of ’09 he played sold out shows at Notting Hill’s ‘Yoyo’s’ and the Hoxton Bar And Grill’s ‘Gold Dust’. You can view photos here: Bluey’s performance in pictures.

His first single to ever be released was ‘I know’ after doing an acoustic on a stairwell, he then went to record and in late September it saw extensive airplay across national radio. Since then, Bluey has kept on rising and still is. Performing on set at the ‘1Xtra after party’ following Dizzee Rascal’s performance at the BBC Electric Proms on 21st October in Camden’s Roundhouse. Bluey is also set to hit the 02 wireless festival later this year on a bill which includes Jay-Z and Pink.
