No Reservations

Udon noodle bar Koya located on Frith street in Soho is another one of ‘those’ you could easily walk past and ignore with its minimal decor. Designed to look like an authentic Japanese workman’s ‘eat and leave’, it is precisely just that but boasting freshly-made udon noodles, kneaded by foot on site under a plastic canvas. The noodles are served hot or cold, accompanied by a few of the many toppings such as, prawn and vegetable tempura, slices of tender duck breast, pork and miso paste with a side dish of homemade pickles or for you vegans, marinated mushrooms.

They take no reservations and currently don’t even have a phone line but you can find opening hours and directions on their website here: www.koya.co.uk
